Always Something for which to be Thankful…

Dear Family, Friends, Colleagues, & Folks I Have Met on the Road…

This Thanksgiving and coming holiday season is one that is more special than any other I have ever had. Most of you Ursula 2 know already that I took a risk to chase a dream in February 2013. I spent just at 6 months living on my Harley and touring the States while managing my Virtual Assistant business. I wish I could say that I hit every state as I had intended. Instead, I was hit – hit pretty much head-on by a car passing a semi in a blind curve.

Ursula 3 As a result I suffered major trauma most especially to my left leg which was amputated below the knee a week following the crash. My poor Harley didn’t make it out alive as I did. The road to recovery has been long and challenging in so many ways and the detour still has many miles to go.

No matter a missing Harley and a missing leg, I am very thankful to still be here with all the folks that give me strength, encouragement, and love from all corners of the world. I was blessed to have first responders right in the area of my crash and if not for them, I would not be here today. People known and unknown have followed The B.R.O.A.D. journey online with excitement for the next adventurous story and after the crash the outpouring of support only grew further with gifts to lend a smile, cards with encouraging words, and donations to help me get along for now.

So as you can see, this holiday season that begins with Thanksgiving and takes us into a New Year holds far more for Ursula 5 which I am thankful, grateful, and blessed.
I challenge you now to think  of one seriously difficult and significant event that has happened in your life. Now tell yourself, no convince yourself, that you are a stronger and better person for what that challenge taught you about yourself. And now, be thankful that you made it through that challenge.

If you haven’t already read about The B.R.O.A.D. journey, I hope you will join me now and see just what it takes and what can be taken when you follow your dream. I can tell you this, as a survivor of a horrific crash and staring death in the face; I would not change my dream and I anxiously await the day that I ride on to the next chapter in this magnificent story of LIFE!!

Wishing You All A Holiday Season of
Peace and Blessings!
