Posted on 12. Jul, 2009 by Coach in Open Road
I just received an email from Stephanie at the Buffalo Chip updating me on the PinkNProud™ Ride4Women Charity Run to be held on Augsut 7 at the Legendary Buffalo Chip. Here’s what she has to say:
Quick Facts about PinkNProud™ Ride4Women
The 2009 women’s event of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally will ‘Turn the Hills Pink’™ on Friday August 7th. The Pink-n-Proud ride will feature women in motorcycling who have moved the industry into the new direction as well as the ladies who have made it their hobby and brought women motorcyclists into a new light. The inaugural ride will be presented by Black Hills Harley Davidson and The Legendary Buffalo Chip. Two charitable foundations will be supported: Rapid City Regional Hospital Foundation and Keep- A-Breast Foundation.
The 50 mile ride starts with an opening celebration complete with mini-sessions, exhibits, seminars and entertainment. The day continues with a beautiful escorted ride through 2 canyons ending with the final Pink Parade at the gates of the Legendary Buffalo Chip. A perfect close is the exclusive ride reception at the Chip’s Softail Lounge with heavy hors’dorves, Pink Fashion show, live auction, entertainment, drinks and a finale like no other charity ride can offer. The Pink-n-Proud concert finale is in the form of two national artists taking the stage at 8:30pm and 10:30pm.
We don’t want anyone to miss this opportunity to celebrate the Pink life in honor of a co-worker, wife, daughter or mother. 2009 is the year to Turn the Hills Pink with this challenge set forth by the Legendary Buffalo Chip and Black Hills Harley Davidson. All are welcome in to decorate houses, neighborhoods and businesses in Pink with an official PinkNProud Decorating Package. Proceeds of the PinkNProud event will support educational, rehabilitation and awareness programs across the nation as well as locally through the Rapid City Regional Hospital foundation and the Keep-A-Breast Foundation.
PinkNProud™ Ride4Women Purpose:
Celebrate motorcycling, showcase the spirit of the women riders and contribute to the efforts being made to eliminate the disease that affects too many lives.
